10th Annual Quality Education Conference
The goal of QEC is to provide key education stakeholders with a forum to discuss one issue that affects achievement of quality education in the country and collectively chart a way forward on how to address it. Each year QEC’s organizing Committee decides on the theme for the conference and identify paper presenters.
The theme normally emanates from Global Campaigns for Education (GCE) to ensure education for all. Proposed theme for this year is Collective Accountability and Quality Education for Self-Reliance building on Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) campaign which focuses on ensuring accountability for SDG4, and active citizen participation with a particular emphasis on reminding governments and people that credible roadmaps are needed to deliver quality, inclusive, free and public education in order to realize SDG 4 & 5.
This year’s QEC will take place on 4th to 5th December 2018 in Nashera Hotel, Dodoma. Three sub-themes papers have been identified for presentation and discussion.
- Competence based teaching and learning approaches for quality education
- How competence-based curriculum promotes self-reliance
- Play-based learning approach and lifelong learning
